Jarvis, Claver open with wins for LCC

GRESHAM Dusty Jarvis won the men's 100-meter dash and MaCayla Claver won the women's 5,000 to highlight the Lane track and field team's season-opening meet at Mount Hood in a non-scoring event.

Jarvis, a freshman from Springfield, won in 11.06 seconds. Claver, a Willamette High product, won in 19:10.10.
