Lane athletes shine at Willamette invite

SALEM — Four members of the Lane Community College women’s track and field team picked up wins in the final day of competition at the Willamette Invitational on Saturday.

Amber Williams won the pole vault with a clearance of 10 feet, 8 inches; Sam Berryman won the long jump with a mark of 17-8; Kim Wilson won the triple jump with a mark of 37-10 3/4; and Christina Hardie won the discus with a throw of 125-7 and was also third in the shot put at 38-2 1/4.

For the Titan men, redshirting sprinter Chris Stubbs won the 100 in 10.61 seconds and the 400 in 48.30. Caleb Kruse, who is also redshirting, won the triple jump with a mark of 46-10 1/4. Both were competing unattached.
