MOUNT VERNON, Wash. — Four starters scoring in double figures helped Lane overcome dreadful shooting from three-point range in a 76-64 women’s basketball victory over Tacoma in the first round of the Skagit Valley College Crossover Tournament on Friday night.
Kersey Wilcox led the Titans, who were just 1-for-22 from beyond the arc, with 14 points, and Joleen Chanco had 13, Reed Levings 11 and Megan Shields 10. Lane did come through at the free-throw line, going 27-for-33.
The Titans (6-2) will play Spokane in the semifinals at 5 p.m. today.
