SALEM — Lane pole vaulters Scott Elliott and Mary Vaughan won their respective events to highlight the Titans’ performance at the 51-team Willamette Invitational track and field meet on Saturday.
Elliott, a freshman from Crook County, cleared 14 feet, 11 inches to finish first, and Vaughan, a sophomore from Newport, went 10-6 to claim the women’s event.
Trent Davis, a freshman from Springfield High School, had a winning long jump of 22-8 for Lane’s other men’s victory. Chris Bellitt, a sophomore from Churchill High, was second in the discus (148-7), and Tyler Lindgren took third in the hammer (174-5).
The Titans’ other women’s winner was Kim Wilson in the triple jump (36-53/4). Tauni Powell, a freshman from Thurston High, also placed second in the javelin (144-8).
