LCC wins at relays

OREGON CITY — Lane Community College swept the distance medleys and won both the men’s and women’s team titles at the Northwest Relays at Oregon City High School on Friday night.

The Lane women won the meet with 141 points and got victories in the 100 hurdles (16.27 seconds) and high jump (4-11 3/4) from Samantha Poppe.

The men won with 109 points. Cesar Perez (9:03.77) and Sterling Teall (9:20.13) went 1-2 in the 3,000 meters.

Also Friday, Lane’s Sam Berryman qualified for the NWAACC Championships in the heptathlon with a score of 4,287 points at the UCLA Invitational.
