Titans win a dozen events at Saints Open meet
GRESHAM - Lane Community College had winners in 12 events at the Mount Hood Community College Saints Open track and field meet Saturday.
The Titans were particularly impressive in the men's pole vault, with Robby Fegles leading four LCC vaulters in the top four spots.
Fegles cleared 16 feet, 2 inches, followed by Adam Brink at 16-1, Jack Hippler at 15-3 and Garrett Pruitt at 14-6.
Lane's other men's winners were Chris Bellitt in the discus (147-0), Tyler Lindgren in the hammer (172-6), Dennis Olstedt in the 110-meter hurdles (15.65 seconds), Bryan Harper in the 400 (50.47) and the 4x400 relay (3:26.56).
Rocksi Miller won two women's events for the Titans , taking the discus at 118-6 and the shot put at 38-7¾.
The Titans ' other women's winners were Mary Vaughn in the pole vault (11-0), Tauni Powell in the javelin (131-5), Annie Hayward in the 400 (1:00.03) and the 4x400 relay team (4:10.70).
Churchill High School's Cory Miller turned in a solid performance in the men's javelin, finishing second at 165-7. Clackamas Community College's Joseph Gobel won at 167-8.
