         <title><![CDATA[LCC runners receive all-American honors]]></title>

         <description><![CDATA[
	Lane Community College runners Leah Twombly, Lukas Fenley and Travis Stevens were named all-Americans after finishing in the top seven at the NWAACC Cross Country Championship.
	
	In addition, Twombly, a sophomore from Siuslaw High School, and Gukas Fenley, a sophomore from Thurston, received the Titans ' most outstanding runner awards.
	
	Stevens is a freshman from Siuslaw High School.

	OREGON CITY - Leah Twombly won the women's 5,000-meter race, and the Lane Community College cross country teams swept the team titles at the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges Southern Region Championships Saturday at Clackamas.
	
	The Lane women had five runners finish in the top 10 to win with 29 points. Clackamas was second with 66 points.
	
	Led by the 2-3 finish of Travis Stevens and Lukas Fenley, the Titan men won with 37 points.

	SALEM - Lane's men's and women's teams each finished eighth Saturday at Willamette's Charles Bowles Invitational.
	
	Lukas Fenley finished 40th overall and 22nd among college runners in 26 minutes, 2.33 seconds over 8,000 meters for the Titans , who had 213 points. Portland won with 25 points.

	Several of the state's top high school boys and girls runners will gather at Lane Community College on Saturday for the Northwest Cross Country Classic.
	
	There will be five races over the 5,000-meter course.
	
	A community fun run begins at 10 a.m., followed by the JV girls at 11:30 a.m., JV boys at 12:15 p.m., varsity girls at 1 p.m. and varsity boys at 1:45 p.m.
