It wasn’t the way the Titans’ men and women’s track teams wanted to end the season.

         <description><![CDATA[Dusty Jarvis, Jordan Latt win 200 and 400 as Spokane wins team titles

SPOKANE — Spokane Community College  swept team titles at the NWAACC  track and field championships on its  home track Tuesday, with Lane’s  men and women finishing third.


Lane’s men got wins by Dusty Jarvis in the 200 in 21.85 seconds, and Jordan Latt in the 400, in 47.96.
Jarvis also was second in the 100, and Cesar Perez was second in the 5,000.

Pull out your brooms, it’s been a sweep.
Both the men and women Titan Track and Field teams took home the   Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges’ Southern Region   Championship for the second year in a row.
The women won with an overall team score of 254 points, 44.50 points   ahead of second-place Clackamas. The men took home the championship  with  an overall team score of 240.50, 58.50 points ahead of second  place Mt.  Hood.

In celebrating a second consecutive  sweep of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges  Southern Region Championships on Saturday, the Lane Community College  men’s and women’s track and field teams did a victory lap around the  school’s new $2.5 million track facility.

         <description><![CDATA[Clackamas’ Addie Gallagher scored 2,457   points and Spokane’s Spencer Wordell scored 3,399 points to each lead   the NWAACC’s multi-event track and field championships after the first   day at Lane Community College.

         <description><![CDATA[In another record performance, Lindsay    Beard, out of South Eugene High, finished second in the pole vault at 11    feet, 11 3/4 inches to break the Lane Community College standard in    that event. Fellow sophomore Sammie Poppe, a Churchill grad, was third    at 10-11 3/4.
Gylany Crossman also qualified for the NWAACC Championships with a personal best of 4:56.0 in the women’s 1,500.

Stubbs, out of Willamette High, won in   48.29 seconds. Another Lane sophomore, Katie Davis, won the women’s   triple jump with a mark of 35 feet, 2 inches.]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[Lane’s Jennifer Guzman won the  discus, the shot put and the hammer, and former Crow High School  standout Linsey Kau easily won the javelin in a dominant throws day for  the host Titans at the Lane Preview on Saturday.
In her first collegiate meet, Kau  threw 133 feet, 2 inches to win the javelin, nearly 19 feet farther than  the second-place finisher. She also placed second to Guzman in the  discus and the hammer.
