Erica Mertz Steps Down As Women's Soccer Coach

After five seasons as the head coach of the Titans women's soccer program, Erica Mertz has announced that she is stepping down. Mertz complied a 66-18-12 overall record, including a 14-2-2 2018 season.

In her first year Mertz led the Titans to the NWAC Final Four and has led the Titans to the playoffs in all five of her seasons and has won two region titles.

Mertz was named coach of the year for the second time this past season. In her five season she has coached 26 all-stars, including six this year. In three of her five seasons Mertz has had the MVP, including Yuuyu Suzuki this season.

Mertz has coached four players that have moved on to Division 1 schools and six to Division 2.
